Trade & Supplier Directory – Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

“Platform” refers to the website, directories, and associated services operated by UK Paving Talk Group.
“Directory” refers to the trade and supplier listing services provided on the Platform.
“Business”, “You”, or “Your” refers to any trader, supplier, company, or organisation submitting details to the Directory.
“Listing” refers to any business profile, advert, or entry submitted to the Directory.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting, publishing, or maintaining a Listing within the Directory, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree, you must not submit or maintain a Listing.

3. Eligibility

To be listed, you must:

  • Be a legitimate business or sole trader operating in the UK

  • Have the legal authority to promote the business you are submitting

  • Provide accurate, current, and truthful information

  • Comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations

We reserve the right to request verification at any time.

4. Listing Information

You are solely responsible for all information submitted, including but not limited to:

  • Business name and contact details

  • Descriptions of services or products

  • Images, logos, and branding

  • Accreditations, certifications, or claims

All information must be accurate, not misleading, and kept up to date.

5. Content Standards

Listings must not:

  • Contain false, exaggerated, or misleading claims

  • Infringe intellectual property rights

  • Include offensive, defamatory, or unlawful content

  • Promote illegal, unsafe, or unethical practices

  • Misrepresent qualifications, insurance, or approvals

We reserve the right to edit, reject, suspend, or remove Listings that breach these standards.

6. Approval and Moderation

All Listings are subject to review and approval.
Approval is at our sole discretion and may be withdrawn at any time without notice if terms are breached.

7. Paid Listings and Fees

Where fees apply:

  • All prices are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated

  • Payments are due in advance

  • Fees are non-refundable once a Listing is live

  • No refunds are given for early cancellation or removal

Failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of your Listing.

8. Listing Duration

Listings remain active for the agreed period only.
Expired Listings may be removed unless renewed before expiry.

9. No Guarantee of Leads or Results

We do not guarantee:

  • Enquiries, leads, sales, or work

  • Specific search rankings or visibility

  • Geographic coverage or customer conversion

Directory exposure is promotional only.

10. Third-Party Contact

Any contact or agreement made between users and listed businesses is entirely independent of the Platform.
We are not responsible for disputes, contracts, payments, or outcomes arising from such interactions.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We accept no liability for losses, damages, or claims arising from Listings

  • We are not responsible for inaccuracies provided by businesses

  • Use of the Directory is at your own risk

Nothing in these terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UK Paving Talk Group against all claims, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from:

  • Your Listing

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Misrepresentation or unlawful activity

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or remove Listings immediately if:

  • Terms are breached

  • Information is misleading or false

  • Complaints indicate serious misconduct

  • Legal or regulatory issues arise

No refunds apply following termination.

14. Intellectual Property

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and promote your submitted content solely for Directory and marketing purposes.
You retain ownership of your content.

15. Data Protection

Business contact details are displayed publicly as part of the Directory.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Directory constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
